Pole Tents, also known as Tension Tents, have dramatic swooping peaks that give the tent an attractive look and the inside of the tent does not have any unsightly frame work in the ceiling. They have a spacious interior with a generous height. Pole tents are an economical way to provide cover for a large guest list Sometimes referred to as “Big Top Tent” or “Tension Tent”.
Pole Tents are supported by tension rather than a frame. They have center poles, side poles, and multiple stakes to secure the tent. We do recommend installing this type of tent in wide-open areas, preferably grass, however pole tents can be installed on any surface if staking is permitted. We carry TopTec™, Eureka™, and Anchor™ big tops.
When selecting a pole tent, we can add fabric liners and/ or leg drapes if desired. This tent style is the best tent for projecting images or gobo patterns on the ceiling. It can only be installed on grass unless we can stake through the black top.
Pole tents must be anchored by stakes and are held up by tension of the stakes; they cannot be weighted. Sidewalls are available for the tent in clear, window or solid white and are installed either on or off; they do not roll up or slide. Pole Tents are available in a range of sizes from 30’ x 30’ up until 100’ x 200’.
